Découvrez et participez au programme d’échange Fulbright, programme d’échange poste à poste entre professeurs de langue vivante français et américains. C’est une occasion unique de partir enseigner dans l’autre pays.

Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program in the United States

ECHANGES POSTE A POSTE DE PROFESSEURS DE LANGUES VIVANTES

Conditions :

• Etre enseignant d’anglais titulaire depuis au moins 2 ans dans un établissement public du second degré
• Exercer des fonctions à plein temps pendant l’année d’échange.
• Ne pas présenter simultanément une demande de mutation ou de détachement.
• Ne pas avoir effectué un autre échange depuis trois ans.

Dépôt des candidatures :

- Les modalités de dépôt de candidatures seront précisées par le BOEN consacré aux échanges internationaux qui paraîtra en novembre 2008.

Modalités d’attribution :

- Maintien du salaire français, plus allocation complémentaire du Ministère de l’Éducation nationale.
- Bourse de voyage Fulbright offerte par la Commission franco-américaine.
- Séance d’orientation à Washington, DC.

Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program in the United States

Application Deadline: January 25, 2009

Participation in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program in the United States means:

• a total linguistic and cultural immersion
• a unique pedagogical experience
• both personal and professional development
• an opportunity for your French students to establish contacts in the US
• a role of cultural ambassador

Eligibility Requirements:

• Possess at least a Bachelors degree in English;
• Be an English teacher;
• Have completed at least three years of full service in a établissement public du second degree;
• Be serving as a full-time teacher at the time of application;
• Must not have participated in a Fulbright teacher exchange during the past five years;
• Preference will be given to applicants who have prior experience teaching French as a foreign language.

Terms of Award:

• Teachers will retain salaries from their home school, plus a complimentary stipend from the Ministry of Education
• An international travel grant will be offered to grantees only;
• The program pays for the costs of attending the Fulbright Teacher Exchange orientation in Washington, DC in August.
